Production Manager

• Manage and optimize the production lines to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.

• Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and minimizing downtime.

• Monitor production processes to maintain product quality, consistency, and adherence to industry regulations

• Improve OEE and waste reduction

• Supervise a team of 12 team leaders and a total of around 150 co-workers 

• Foster a positive work environment and provide coaching of and transfer of knowledge to the team leaders in particular 

• Enforce strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees

• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, including safety and sanitation standards

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction, implementing best practices and lean principles

• Actively participate and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Min. Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, complemented by at least 5 years of experience in a managerial position in a production environment

• There is a strong preference for a manager having experience in a production environment which is characterized by frequent product switches, relatively small runs, unplanned equipment stops, while still maintaining high-quality standards

• Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles

• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality

• Excellent communication abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills 

• Team player who works well with people from other departments.

• Working language is both French and Dutch on a professional level.  English is a plus

Our client is looking for experienced and results-driven Production Manager ad interim to run the daily operations in two of the key departments of their production site.  As the Production Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, safety and quality of their products, directly managing the team leaders, and indirectly the operators.  Your expertise in production processes, OEE, continuous improvement and team leadership will be essential in achieving the production goals and KPI. 

You will report to the Plant Manager. 

Interim management for an estimated period of 6 months (with possible extension), while the search for the position on a permanent basis (employee contract) is being conducted.
