IT/Operations Manager

Our Client is a collaborative SaaS platform that helps teams in Marketing, IT, Web, Digital, Purchasing, and many other departments, to ensure effective and qualitative data management, from the product database through to all communication operations and all online and offline publications. What sets them apart is the fact that they combine PIM (Product Information Management, knowing that some of clients might have up to 300,000 SKU), DAM (Digital Asset Management) and Publishing tools, put at the service of the clients. Those clients are usually companies that offer their services and/or products via a network of branches (bricks) as well as online (clicks).

With our Client's help, companies can enhance their multi-channel communication, reduce complexity, increase the level of quality and lower costs, whilst improving agility and speed of their communication.

In order to sustain the growth and ensure the establishment of effective and efficient processes within the company, they are looking for an experienced Information Technology/Operations Manager.

As the IT/Operations Manager you must be an all-round manager as you will fine-tune the strategy, operational processes, technical and client projects and optimize the use of current resources. You keep track of new tendencies in IT, development methods, new hardware and software tools and services.

As the IT/Operations Manager, you will analyze the needs of the users of the software, both internally and externally. You will put in place a structurally efficient communication and dataflow, in line with the company’s strategy. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring the right capacity planning

• Partner with all stakeholders to identify systemic issues and to develop, pilot and implement continuous process improvements

• Drive and lead the strategic, operational and technical initiatives and programs by developing a clear roadmap for the future

• Implement and monitor contracts with and performance of the IT product and service providers, as well as third party contractors based both in Belgium as in Eastern Europe

• Oversee the IT infrastructure

• Identify (cyber- and data)security vulnerabilities and implement appropriate solutions to eliminate them

• Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades

• Identify and recommend new technology solutions to be implemented

  • Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent by experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as IT/Technology/Operations Manager in a software development environment
  • Creative and innovative leader who can instill enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit in both his team and third party suppliers
  • Good understanding of business drivers/processes and able to relate priorities to associated technology investments.
  • Knowledge of technology trends (e.g., digital, big data) as well as a sound understanding of SaaS applications and their development
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies & principles are a must
  • Knowledge of Project Management methodologies such as ITIL and knowledge of dot.net and Angular programming languages are an asset
  • Capability to balance the need for standardization and client orientated thinking with the specific needs and challenges in the markets
  • Experience driving technology and software strategy
  • Connect with external technology and service providers
  • Speaks English fluently as well as French. Dutch is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

We are looking for an independent manager that will invoice through his or her management company. There is a possibility of acquiring shares in the company as well.

The assignment is in principle for an undetermined period of time.
