Head of the Client Services Department

Our Client is a big player in the renewable energy sector for more than 15 years now. The company has diversified towards 4 solution families: photovoltaic & small wind turbine - heat pumps - electric charging stations and storage.

They now want to offer an integrated solution to its customers over the whole life cycle and will set up a fourth department called "Services" in addition to the existing departments (sales, engineering & on site installations ).

We are looking for an experienced Interim Manager to set up the Client Services department which will entail both After Sales and New Client Solutions.

Function description

Implementation & management of the department Services on the basis of the following axes :

  • Customer : B2C & B2B
  • Technical: production, HVAC, mobility & storage
  • Service: after-sales service, maintenance contracts, CV buy-back, financing contracts, etc.

Position the department as a key interlocutor for customers after the commissioning of the installations

  • Develop a strategy to ensure effective monitoring and provide rapid responses to customers when needed
  • Guarantee that performance contracts meet their objectives (productivity guarantee)
  • Optimize the life of existing facilities

Ensure an integrated follow-up of interventions (B2B/B2C) by structuring the department according to technologies (solar, wind, mobility and HVAC)

Collaborate closely with the other departments with a cross-functional attitude. You play a key role in the market pilots as member of the Product Marketing Committee.

Supervise and coordinate the commercial opportunities of the After Sales Service

Oversee supplier relations

Define and monitor departmental KPIs

Build and develop the team to allow a quick & qualitative follow-up towards the client's expectations

Represent and promote the company at internal/external events based on its points of differentiation (values, strengths, social responsibility, etc.)

Participate actively in the Quality-Safety-Environment policy

• Set-up & structure the new Client Services department

• Strategic analysis of the competition to find key factors of differentiation

• Translate the vision of the Executive Committee into customers’ needs in a practical way

• Demonstrate the added value of the new department 

Job requirements
  • You have a Master's degree in engineering (civil or industrial) or equivalent experience
  • You have in-depth technical skills in renewable energy (solar, wind), storage, alternative mobility and HVAC (energy efficiency and cogeneration)
  • You have a good knowledge of the electrical field (high voltage/low voltage) and regulatory knowledge
  • You know the Belgian and European energy sector, how it works (e.g. green certificates, third-party investors, prosumer pricing, gas certification, etc.) and its main stakeholders (e.g. CWAPE, GRD, EDORA, etc.)
  • You know the operating modes of the Construction sector (e.g.: the notion of co-contractor, project owner, subcontractor, article 30bis, etc.) and the main requirements (e.g.: BBRI, etc.)
  • You are comfortable with safety and wellbeing skills applied to the construction sector
  • You are comfortable with the Office suite, ODOO and dimensioning software (SolidWorks, Archélios, Ecodial, etc.)
  • You are passionate about sustainable development and related technologies
  • You demonstrate ethics and empathy
  • You are organized and pragmatic (time management, project management, team management)
  • Continuous improvement
  • You have a commercial & analytical mind and you communicate effectively
  • French is the working language. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
