Fleet Manager

Our Client is an autonomous Flemish company that develops a wide range of services for governments and companies. In collaboration with specialized partners, they develop customized projects for large companies. These may relate to the supply of specific qualities, the internal management of the product, the reuse of waste, or the construction and operation of specific installations. 

They are currently looking for a Fleet Manager to support the Facility and Logistics Manager.

Functieomschrijving

The role's main objectives are:

  • To manage and optimize the vehicle fleet in order to have a functional, safe vehicle fleet in the short term and a sustainable and cost-effective vehicle fleet in the long term.
  • To manage and optimize the organization's internal services tools in order to have an efficient tool management in the long run.

Tasks:

  • Analyze and follow up on daily management within assigned domain (vehicle fleet and/or (large and small) tools (manages geolocation, inventory of tools, vehicle evolution follow-up, root cause analysis of downtime, reporting, create procedures, analysis on usage of tools,...)
  • Market exploration and alignment with internal needs for sustainable and effective fleet management (set up test panels, user interviews,..)
  • Act as a point of contact for ad hoc problems in the field (breakdowns, employee continuity, supplier contacts,..)
Functie-eisen
  • Thorough knowledge of the assigned domain (vehicles and vans / trucks and large tools)

  • Knowledge of mobility and evolutions

  • Knowledge of geolocation systems

  • Knowledge of traffic regulations

  • Basic knowledge of public procurement legislation

  • Knowledge of vehicle, transport and safety legislation

  • Knowledge of safety regulations regarding the purchase and use of tools

  • Thorough knowledge of current software (ERP, Excel ...)

  • Strong collaborator with a customer-oriented mindset

  • Sense of Initiative

  • Analytical Mindset

  • Meticulous

  • Fluent in Dutch - both oral and written

  • !!Willingness to 'travel to' and 'work from' other locations of the Client as well
